Why Doesn’t Exercise Lead to Weight Loss?
So-called “afterburn,” the idea that your metabolism stays high after exercising, is false according to a new study. Also, mild exercise will burn a higher percentage of fat calories than intense exercise. (What about absolute calories rather than percentages?) The most important factor in losing weight is your diet. Exercise confers many other benefits, but weight-loss is not among them. (N.Y. Times)
