BusinessWeek: What Should Apple Do Next?
Two great ideas:
- Personal Finance Software Professor of design, Chris Conley, suggests Apple “create a suite of personal finance software to help consumers tackle savings, budgets, and even investing. Just as the iLife suite provides consumers with an easy way to manage multimedia and the Final Cut Studio package affords professional designers the means to produce and manage their work, a money package could simplify an area many find bafflingly complex.”
I would love to see Apple kick Intuit’s ass by simplifying financial software. That’s a brilliant idea!
- Apple Cafés? Victor Ermoli of the Savannah College of Art and Design “would like to see Apple do more to foster socializing between shoppers by encouraging them to hang out as they consume media. ‘In many urban environments there are fewer and fewer places for 10- to 18-year-olds to congregate,’ says Ermoli. ‘Apple stores could become a modern version of the soda fountains of the 1950s.’”
Don’t forget that Apple innovates not only in hardware, software, and services but also in retail.via Mac Daily News
